The Admiral String Quartet. No, we're not named after the admirals in the navy. None of us are particularly into boats. Our name draws its origin from our German last name, which means "butterfly." So when we started talking about a name for ourselves, we all agreed we needed a name of a butterfly. Choosing a Wisconsin butterfly naturally followed, since we live in Wisconsin! We made a list of Wisconsin butterflies, narrowed the list down to a few favorites, then our entire family voted. The result was....the Admiral String Quartet!
